While my computer is NOT BSOD'ing, it does this: Cold start, system boots all the way to the desktop. If I bring mouse to lower bar, it displays the "busy" ring. The area down in the lower right will load about 7 of the programs running (normally closer to 16). Nothing is "clickable" anywhere on the desktop.
I then hit the Reset button on the computer. During reboot, the OS will note it shut down improperly, I pick "Continue normally" and when it gets to the desktop, everything loads normally and the machine is good.
I've done a msconfig bare startup and it comes up in the expected (nothing running) mode just fine. Reset it back to normal, and the problems are back.
I just can't figure out what's causing this, also, apologies if this is in the wrong place. Just seemed the closest.
