So this morning my computer froze, forcing me to force a shutdown/reboot. When I turned it back on, it showed the attached pics. I have no idea what it means or anything. All I know is there's dollar signs in that gibberish, and that makes it important.

Just looks like a regular run of CHKDSK to me. Windows is checking the integrity of your files and disk. Nothing to worry about imho. The dollar signs are just a representation of a hidden or administrative share.
