NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS PLZ HELP''''''

hi there every one,I just joined this form today.
And i am hoping you guys can help me,because I ll go mad with this proble.
I have got HP dv9655 (kb398ea).Originally it came with Vista home premium.But last week i decide to download windows 7.I wiped my hard drive and did clean install (windows7).
It is activated ok,and it says genuni and activated in system info.
MY PROBLEM is Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS (I think)
When i check Device Manager Display,I got yellow mark,i just can't update it.
I tried evrything no joy at all.
My questions:
1)What drivers i need for windows7 Ultimate 32-bit

2)Do I need to download Nvidia drivers from, Nvidia site or HP site.

3)My biggest annoying problem is , screen resulation.It stuck on 600- 480
and I cant changed it.

4)So drivers i need if i am right.
a)nvidia chipset ,(but which one)
b)Whql
c)?...
What else i got no idea.

Still can not change scrren resulationnnn
Just last thing
When i ran bios ,it still shows "VISTA" on bios ,do i also need to do anything with BIOS settings?

yes,my graphic card is discreted card means its detatchable,,,,,,,,,,i see it ,when i update my bios to slic 2.1,,,,,,after installing nvidia drivers from nvidia.com.....after i update my bios ,,,,,,here i face my problem ..now my display split into two some times 6 r 8..when i used powerstrip..it shows my monitor screen resolutions to 1600*1200..but my display supports only1200*800...is this actual problem ...so how can i change to my actual settings



when i reset my monitor settings to 1200*800...using powerstrip and i update with my original bios and restart..it show 1200*800...but when i update my nvidia driver it again dhow 1600*1200...
so i hope u got my point ,,so please help me ,,,it is hell for me past 1 year.....

Welcome to Seven Forums First off use one of these programs to help with filling in your full system specs for us
1.Speccy - System Information - Free Download
2.|MG| HWiNFO32 3.58 Final Download
Install the lastest chipset drivers form HP, or Nvida once you've found out which chipset your board has.
Then I would give this program a try to modify your.inf file for your graphics card NVIDIA MobilityModder Please post back. Thanks. Fabe

mine is lenovo y410 775756q,slic 2;nvidia 8400m gs 128mb ddr2 ,in lenovo site nvidia drivers has nvlt.inf

there it is see it and try to solve my problem ,,,,i already use mobility modder,,bu tit works fora a couple of hours...atleast find whatsthe lenovo y410 nvidia 8400m gs default clock,shader,memory speeds
