NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS won't update

I'm having some problems updating my display driver!
I did the Problems Steps Recorder, though!

Basically, when I try to update my software, I just get to a screen that says nothing installed.

Please help if you can! I really appreciate it. If you need any more info, please let me know!

What about a new clean install of latest driver ??????????????????????
Its the same just the nvidia control panel setting will be reset to default !

I looked up how to do a clean install, and did it, but nothing changed, it still doesn't work.

I did a system restore, so don't worry about my computer being wonky, haha.

Any other ideas? I don't really need to update, but I would like to.

If you have installed the latest driver than why you need update to be working ???????????
