Does anyone know if it is possible to get one of these suckers to work with Win7 x64? I bought the thing back when it was brand new and I spent like $600 on it and I don't want to have to give it up. Any advice would be much appreciated.

here is a link to the latest drivers ,have you tried these? NVIDIA DRIVERS 197.54 WHQL
if you still dont have success loading them, try installing them in compatibility mode http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html good luck ,post back if you need more help :D

I don't think that the Quadro NVS 400 is Windows 7 compatible, cant seem to find any drivers any ware.

pebbly those drivers only support:Quadro NVS series:
NVS 440, NVS 420, NVS 285, NVS 450, NVS 290, NVS 295

It only seems to be Windows XP compilable.

yes i agree with you Crispy, but sometimes there is a possibility that the nearest drivers do work , that is why i posted them just on the offchance of them working for the OP :)

I've already tried all that. Those drivers don't work for the 400 card. The only drivers I can find for that card is for XP, and server 2003 both x86 and x64. I just figured that if anyone else had that card and got it working with 7 that this would be the best place to look.

ollie that site is nothing more than a link for Driver Detective. The NVS 400 series that it is referring to is the current versions of that card (NVS 440 based on the same NV43 chip as in the old 6600 card; and the NVS 420/450 based on G98 which from what I can find is a derivative of the 8400GS).

The NVS 400 is nothing more than a NVS 200 with two cores on it, and based on the even older NV17 chip which is the old MX440. Any search for a driver for this old card is pretty much fruitless as it is a DirectX 7 based card, and there will never be a Windows 7 driver for it.

About the best you can hope for is to try the XP driver installed in compatibility mode.
