NX9010 + Windows 7 Nic driver?

Hi,

I've installed Windows 7 on my nx9010. It's running great and I've also installed the sound driver. But now I'm looking foor a Nic driver, because the one on hp's site is only for xp and is not working. Looked several sites but haven't found one. Any help?

The interesting part from my pm (regarding ATI video and sound) was this:


LAN driver is this one: HP Compaq nx9010 Notebook PC*-* National Semiconductor DP83815/816 10/100 MacPhyter NDIS 5.0 Miniport Driver for Windows 2000/XP - HP Business Support Center

Video drivers I used this one: HP Compaq nx9010 Notebook PC*-* ATI Video Driver and Control Panel - HP Business Support Center

When starting video driver setup it works only half, then it's aborted with an error message appears. Then goto device manager, use "update driver" for the video card, use "choose manually" and show him the base folder where the driver was extracted (if I remember it was c:\swsetup or similar). After video driver installation the system performance index 2D raised from 1.0 to 1.9, the value of 3D stays at 1.0.

If the LAN driver doesn't install you have to do the same steps as mentioned before.

I didn't change compatibility mode of the driver setups to xp or else because at the time I tried I didn't know it was possible. I also didn't disable UAC.

I have saw a lot of post like yours. I have tried to manual Install the video driver. It just tells me the standard video drive is the only one that can be used.


I got a different driver to work. I ran Dxdiag, Direct Draw and Direct 3d were enabled but not texture acceleration.


I saw no different if any so I don't think the drive worked.

How did windows 7 run with your build?

running retail now. trying these drivers out. sound came through winupdate. so did my wifi dongle (Ralink).

infrared too, not that that matters.

Set driver in device manager to use the NIC driver stated here. Windows reckoned that it already had the best driver and then installed it. all good now.

I tried to install sound driver but I can't can you help me? all the other drivers worked perfectly I only have the sound driver and the modem driver! can you assist?
