Okay so I have been running Windows 7 64-bit on an *old* AMD 945 machine (it's a HTPC) without issues for quite some time. Over the weekend I decided to reload because it was getting garbled up with apps I no longer use and such and I wanted to put SP1 on.
Well .. now the machine will no longer wake up to run scheduled tasks. The odd thing is I can still send it wake-on-lan packets and it will wake the machine just fine it seems, but I have tasks that need to run at 3 in the morning that never wake the machine.
Now I have gone through ALL the settings (BIOS/Powersave/etc) and have run powercfg -energy and the report didn't bring back anything that is different than how it was before (I still have a previous version). I've made sure the task is set to wake up the machine and that wake timers are allowed and have disabled the homegroup services as well.
Anyone have any ideas?
