Office 2007 - Disable auto update

Hello I want to remove the auto update feature of microsoft office 2007 from sending updates to windows update.

How can I do that anyone knows?

Open the following file in Notepad: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\HOSTS

Add the line:

127.0.0.1 office.microsoft.com

Save the file and reboot. That'll kill it dead.

I tried it but it doesnt work I still see the updates on the windows update.

You can also add the following but I think it will disable all updates from Microsoft.

127.0.0.1 update.microsoft.com
