I had Office 2003 installed on my laptop and when Outlook stopped working, I decided to remove 2003 and install Office Professional 2010. I followed all the instructions. I bought 2010 a while back and installed it on my desktop computer where it works fine. The box says that I can use it on up to 3 computers at home. I installed 2010 but I still could not open Outlook. After reading about a regedit fix on this forum, I tried it and it then opened fine (thank you Captain Sparrow!) Great, I thought.

However, whenever I open any application in Office, I get told that I have to activate the product. It then tells me that my product key is invalid. How is this when I had to put in the product key at the beginning when I installed it? Surely if it was invalid it would have told me when I first installed. I have checked that there are no other versions of Office installed and I can't see any on the Install/Uninstall programme. Maybe there is something still there that I don't recognise. There is a whole load of Microsoft Visual C stuff there. And another one is called Microsoft Office File Validation Add In which has been there since August 2014. I removed Microsoft Silverlight and Microsoft Works.

I am at the stage where I want to throw the whole damn thing out of the window. Someone PLEASE help me!!!
