Office 2010 SP2 Released - Any Issues With Updating??

Hi:

Looking for feedback (positive and negative) about installing the Office 2010 SP2 Update that shipped today (KB2687455).
Any problems?

Microsoft delivers Office 2010 Service Pack 2 | ZDNet

(I was just offered it via Windows Update on my main production box & expect a similar offering when I power up the laptop later.)

(PS If this belongs in the Windows Updates board, rather than the Office board, please feel free to relocate it.)

I installed it, no issues. everything seems fine.

Pretty good size download, no problems installing.

Haven't done a lot of poking around but all my office programs are functioning fine.

I did have to update my Outlook Hotmail connector afterwards.

I just installed it on a Win 7 32 Bit OS via Windows Update.
No problems installing it or using Office apps so far.
The download is 381.7 MB

Calendar Folder property is missing

Calendar Folder property is empty

Everything seems normal though. I don't know what is causing these now.

Thank heavens for high-speed internet -- geez that was a monster!

Mission accomplished without problems.

(Needless to say, the actual install was pretty fast on my high-end, 64-bit DT and a bit slower on my older, 32-bit laptop.)

Everything seems normal though. I don't know what is causing these now.

I am getting the same error id in event viewer. I have searched and can find nothing for this current error code other than some old gumph that mentions the "calendar folder property is missing" and that this is of no concern!
My Outlook is working fine as we speak, I will update if I find anything or have any problems.

Re the Office update, well that went fine and took no time to download and instal.

Office 2010 SP2 update gives warning

I too am getting one of the two warnings mentioned by others above. A Google search turned up nothing helpful. The SP2 update completed successfully but after the update, every time I launch outlook, two of these warnings show up in the Event Viewer . I attached the warning I see. I haven't noticed anything else (yet) but haven't done much besides get a few emails. I hope someone can help with this latest Microsoft annoyance.

I thought you were looking for suggestions to get the failed update to work.

Hi there
I'd suggest if you have more than one computer to update use the download facility then you only have to download ONCE. Quite a lot of people have Office installed on more than one machine (for example Use at Home, Educational institutional use if you are a student, and the Student and Teacher editions --allowed on 3 computers).

Remember also that this SP2 package doesn't include updates for VISIO and PROJECT if you have also installed these - so download the SP2 updates for those separately as well.

In answer to the OP's question -- no problem whatsoever on the 32 bit versions -- all my EXCEL plugins / addins still worked too. (My OS's are 64 bit but I stayed with the 32 bit version of Ms office).

I have just installed the service pak on 4 machines and I am getting same message- calender folder property is empty , the OS is 64bit but the Office is 32bit
Everything seems to be working including the calender
wonder what the problem is

did you check event viewer to see if you have this problem? it seems it only happens when you open outlook

Maybe they just did not check Event Viewer but everytime I open Outlook, it shows it as a warning in event viewer and yes I think it is effecting every installation of Outlook 2010
Hopefully Microsoft will put through a update through windows update to fix this
I am not putting it on anymore computers- I have 25 to go that I maintain until this is fixed
I will have to go back to the 7 I just put it on to, including my own 2
