Office 365 need to reinstall again to activate trial version

I bought a laptop and there is a pre installed office 365 on it. When I activate the trial version it directs me to a download link. So do I really have to download another? Is there a way that I can activate trial using my pre installed office? I don't want to download because my connection is slow. Please help, thanks!

If you have never used your Office 365 it will have to download part of the program as it is what's called Click to Run & a major part of it has to be installed directly from MS via the internet connection. You will only have to do this once.

This even applies to Office 2013 Pro, which also click to run & had to download most of the program during the installation process.

There is plenty of free software out there if you don`t want to buy Office.
