Yeah I knew the risks before I cranked it up, I knew I would blow it up one day lol.

Fingers crossed the new one is a goodun, but I have set a limit of 1.75v for the new one, will just have to see how far that gets me :)

Yeah I am sure that would be using LN2 though Gary. The colder you can get them the more speed per volts you can get.

Ok I chased it up, could be up to a week before I get the replacement. I am bored of waiting so I just ordered a new one which will be delivered tomorrow. I can then test both to see which is the best and sell the worst one on.
Hopefully out of 2 one of them will be a nice one.

The newer chips run really well and even our extreme OC 's it still holds up well with the temps

I am still reading and seeing people can't even get over the 4.4 to 4.5 ghz hump which I find hard to believe

Yes I also do think it's the motherboards people are using as well

Yeah 4.6 should be easy on any ivy, I ran it as a daily for a year. And you can be dam sure that ain't what killed my chip lol.
