It seems to me if we really want to apply juice to the chips then taking that extra step towards a proper double thick 240mm or 360mm or better one chained to a 120mm rad at the rear of the case and a real pump and reservoir is the only logical next step at the end of the day how much difference will all the sealed systems be from one another? Are they better then the majority of air coolers yes and about the same or slightly better than the best air coolers, yep. For you to have those stable temps when pushing big volts then surface area and pump volumes are key.

That is the point I understand and willing to try better fans it's the only logical step I mean if my temps are nice now how much more can they improve switching fans

I'd rather go buy some Cougars tomorrow and mount them then to purchase a new loop only difference from my 620 khuler from a 920 khuler is thickness of the Rad so I mean I get better fans it might do the trick I mean hell it is right up there anyway and beats out a corsair H80 so I mean how much hardcore can you get besides a H100 or the Kraken ???

If you go with a dual radiator system, I like the Thermaltake 2.0 Extreme for a couple of reasons. It's 240mm(120x2) so you shouldn't have any difficulty with the mounting offset like you may have with a 280mm(140x2) rad, and it's 38mm thick......which in my opinion is the best thickness for a radiator. The Thermaltake 3.0 extreme is 27mm and I think comes with a newer type of fan, which doesn't matter because you are going to replace the stock fans. Also, it's made by Asetek, one of the best water cooling system manufacturers out there. I do like the NZXT Kraken X60 because of the larger surface area and the ability to use 140mm fans, but I wish it had been 38mm thick instead of 27mm.

I really like my two Thermaltake 2.0 extremes and the thickness of the rad is what had me purchase them. The Kraken x60 gives up the thickness for extra surface area and it does just outperform the 240mm rads with it's two focused flow Noctua 140mm fans. For sealed systems the H100, H110, 2.0 Extreme, Kraken x60 are all great dual side by side fan designs and the new Silverstone looks very nice as does the Swiftech is getting some good and bad reviews. All this is fine but as I say unless you crank the thermostat to deep freeze mode your only going to get so far then hit the voltage wall. When I hit the lotto then I will jump in the deep end but until then my 2.0 extremes and X60 are rocking a nice stable overclock.

The only thing about custom WC is the cost, $300 or more probably. I like the Water 2.0 Pro because it's a 120MM rad but 48mm thick so it's like a 240mm, at least I would think so.

Thanks Kelly. I had to improvise, my MB doesn't give me enough voltage control so I figured out a way around it. That is strictly a benchmark, I will not run 24/7 on over 4.5 until I get another MB. I'm really happy with my chip so when I get a new MB and cooler...look out here I come

I'm going ASUS on the MB and still wavering on the cooler, I think it will be the H100i but haven't verified it will fit in my case. I have the right fan slots up top but still need to check the clearance down towards the board. I want a sabertooth but am considering this MB ASUS P8Z77-M PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Newegg.com as it's a little less expensive. What do you think of that MB?

That would be a good board Doug, does your case only accommodate mATX boards? If you'd like a Haswell system, Kelly pointed out to me the ASUS Gryphon is basically a mini Saber Tooth. My current board is a micro-atx. I like the room it leaves, but not the fact that I lost on a lot of options I need. From what I see that asus board does both.

It would work fine if you aren't using a bunch of pci express cards. But......it's gotten quite a few negative reviews on Newegg, which is a concern. For a dual rad setup, I'm really liking the Thermaltake 2.0 Extreme. It's usually on sale, and its 38mm thick, rather than 27mm thick like the Corsair H100/100i. I truly believe the 38mm thickness is optimum and will beat any thinner rad when using the same fans. I like to think of a 27mm rad as a 2-core automotive radiator, a 38mm would be a 3-core rad and 49/50mm would be a 4 core rad. I've found that unless you are running an extremely high performance race car(either a drag car or stock car) running a 4 core radiator will actually not cool as well as a good 3-core. It's all about efficiency. That's my opinion on it anyway.

I've seen the Z87 Gryphon for sale on Newegg for $169(regular price) and the thermal armor is free! That's a hell of a deal.
