To much beer, lol I was feeling good last night. I thought the validation with the ? was strange but check this one out. 5300 on the left and on the right idling @1600 with 1 v :shock: I think you made the right choice sending the damaged one back, I wouldn't make that bet either.

Steve have you looking into the Microcenter near Georgia ,I mean you are in Florida right would it be a issue to pick the Georgia store and see if they have a new 3770k for 249.00 it would be way worth it that is what I got mine for and the shipping isn't that much 8 bucks at best still a big savings

Get it before they disappear. I was roaming around Amazon and within a few minutes 2 sellers no longer had it.

I just found a Micro Center in PA, it`s only 27 miles away

But their prices are high and they really don`t have a good selection.

Doesn`t it run all memory speeds, you`re running 2400 correct ?

According to MSI, all I have to do is turn on XMP ( which I`ve done ) and I can run faster speeds then 1600

True, it does but depends a lot on the board. All Intel CPUs have a memory standard of 1600, unless Haswell has a different one.
