OK to upgrade build 7000 to 7057?

Sorry to be a nuisance but I'd much rather do a fresh install on the 30 GB partition that currently holds my W7 build 7000.
I'm currently downloading build 7057 - about 8 hours apparently.

Am I correct in thinking that if I reformat that partition I'll be able to burn an ISO disk, boot from that and do a guided install on that partition.

Here's a quick question for the faithful. If I do an upgrade from 7000 to 7057 will it extend my timebomb date out to 3-2010 or will I retain the 7000 build's expiration date of 7-09?
I've considered a fresh install of the x64 flavor but would like to retain my current settings. Thoughts on the expiration date?

Yes it will extend the time bomb date if you upgrade but you will have activate it again as well using the same Beta keys for 7000.

7057 Issues

I think upgrading takes about an hour, where as a clean install will take less than 30 minutes.

However, I have a very frustrating problem.

7048 was great with the new feature of serving dvr-ms and wtv files to the PS3, but had a bad memory leak. After about 7 - 8 minutes it was use up my 4 gigs of RAM and restart the feed somewhere earlier in the file.

7057 doesn't not have this issue, but adding any directories other than the default share directories to the libraries in Media Player is impossible ... well, at least for me.

I've done reinstalls of both 7048 and 7057 three or four times each to confirm. I initially noticed it after an upgrade from 7048 to 7057.

Anyone have any ideas? I've Google'd the hell of it.
