Okidata MFC B2520

I have a okidata MFC B2520 multifunction printer which I use for scan/copy/fax. I was happily using this until I upgraded to win7 ultimate x64. They never worked from the start, but I figured okidata would eventually come out with new drivers so I passed the time waiting. I finally got fed up, and started working on it.

I have tried everything I can to install the vista drivers. If you run them, they drop out before install claiming they don't support this version of windows. I have extracted their install wrapper with uniextract and run setup.exe in the "companion" directory which bypasses the OS check, but alas, the install now fails half way, without (successfully?) installing any drivers.

I have tried uniextract as well as installshield cab file viewer on all files in the companion directory. Uniextract says it looks like Installshield file, but then its log says it's not. Using installshield cab viewer, it lists only a portion of the files, none of which is a valid driver source (I imagine it is only listing files from data1.cab, and not data2.cab)

Windows update does have print-only drivers for this device. However, I don't even use this device as a printer, so that doesn't help me at all. I ONLY need it for scan/copy(if possible) and fax on windows, primarilly scanning.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Find an already extracted file? Know of a similar printer that has drivers available for win7 64? ...Maybe you can download the drivers and poke around with them until you get them to extract. Hopefully you have more luck than I did.

Thank you for your time, and I appreciate any help you guys can give.

I did try that. Unfortunately it fails at the same point. The only difference I see is that the install pops up with two "unsigned driver" confirmation messages before it finally fails.

I don't remember having to click these during the install on xp/vista... but it's been a while. I'm not sure if it's misrecognising the drivers because of compatibility mode, or because they're actually not signed. If they aren't signed that would explain why it wasn't working on x64...

Also, there are like 5 "devices" in the printer, so I have no idea which 2 drivers are triggering those warnings. I would still love to be able to try them manually on the two devices that aren't working.

If I need x64 drivers for sure, does anyone know a sister model (for scanner part)whose signed drivers may work on x64?
