Hi everybody :)

I have tweaked the appearance settings of Windows 7 (Pro, x64) in order to create a dark theme, which looks like this:

However, with this theme, the On-screen keyboard is unusable since it looks like this:

Seems like noone @MS has tested that before :P so is there a way to fix this problem? Any help much appreciated!

Hi zedff, welcome to the Forum.

Certain colour schemes just don't work, as you have found out.

The only solution is to change the colour scheme so that this does not happen.

Thanks Ranger4,

well yes, I had to put some grey to the fonts, and it kinda buffled me how the calculator conforms with the theme (keys according to menu colour), but I guess it's a limitation of the on-screen-keyboard as it has to be somehow... independent of user settings since it's also accessible prior to log-in.

P.S. I just noticed there is a dedicated sub-category for Themes, you think it would make any sense moving this thread there or is it already a "lost case"? :P

I suppose you could try asking this in Themes, but where it is now will probably get the most response.

Colour can be a very interesting study & sometimes things just get hidden because of the contrast difference. This can easily be demonstrated by trying to find a black object in a very dark room, it's there but we just can't see it.
