Hello!

I have 3 monitors, 2 are connected to my 8800GTX gfx card, and the last one is connected to a GeForce 7600 card.

The problem is, i have set my monitors to turn off after 30mins of inactivity, and only the two monitors connected to the 8800GTX card does. The one connected to the 7600 card refuses to turn off.

I have updated the drivers for the monitors (Acer X243HQbd) as was suggested in this thread > HERE, and I've tried several different nVidia drivers for the graphic cards.

Anyone got any idea why only 2 of 3 monitors shut down properly? Thanks in advance :geek:

After doing a little more research, the monitor seems to be suspending properly, but wakes up for some reason after a few minutes.

I have the same setup, and the exact same issue. for me, the display connected to the 7600 only goes black, but never actually powers off. The monitors on the 8800gtx behave just fine.

my power button is wearing out :/

I'm thinking of putting 2 monitors on the 7600 and the primary on the 8800gtx. I've been hesitant to do that because i dont want it messing with my photoshop CS4 acceleration settings, but this is driving me nuts.

which driver versions are you using?

for me:
8800gtx - 60.80.13.0.85
7600 - 5.73.22.39.0

I've tried all kinds of drivers, but none of them seems to fix this issue. Starting to think its not driver related at all, but something else. Maybe even a scheduled task or something that wakes up the monitor.

Pretty annoying

yep, i haven't found anything either.

at least i figured one solution: i just put all my monitor onto a separate power strip. i just turn them all on and off with one flick now.

at least i don't have to wear out the power button now :/
