One sided audio.

I really need an expert's help over here.
My rig -
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard with VIA audio codec
AMD FX 6300 processor
4GB Ram
Galaxy Nvidia Geforce 630 2gb
Ok. My problem is that I am getting one side audio problem on both the panel (front as well as rear). I re-installed the audio drivers, updated the drivers but still nothing. Then I replaced my motherboard and still the same problem. I even changed from Win 7 to Win 8 and tried different speakers and headphone. Its really irritating. Please respond. Thanx

With everything you say you have done, one of those should have corrected the problem.

Are you fully inserting the speaker or headphone plug into the jack? If its only partially inserted you will only get one side.

Yes I am. Now I brought a usb sound card and connected my headphones and I get audio from both sides but it is not loud even on full volume. Some say that my PC requires 4.0 jack instead of 3.5. Is this true? My PC's front and rear panel support HD audio. Thanx for your quick reply. But please do not ignore me I treat my PC as my bro and it feels like deaf and mute. Please help.

I see nothing on the Gigabyte site about "4.0" jack, whatever that is. Standard 3.5mm plugs for the motherboard connections. I don't know what your case requires as you did not list the case.

Disconnect the case front panel audio jack connection to the motherboard. Then check the rear GREEN Speaker jack to see if you get both sides.

This has nothing to do with your audio problem, but I see you have Windows 7 64 bit OS. With only 4 GB of RAM the 64 bit OS does you no good. 64 bit OS is for when you have more than 4GB of RAM.

My case is of CoolerMaster K281. I removed the front panel connection and the same issue. I changed my OS to Windows 8 and have 6Gb of Ram now(got that in last week). I forgot to mention my 6GB ram coz I just copy pasted it from my previous post. Sorry for that.

Considering everything that you have done and it is still not working, suggests a hardware problem with the sound chip on the motherboard.

As you have a USB that you can use, disable the motherboard sound in the BIOS, so it does not conflict.

Ok thanx for your help. I ll disable it. But still its sad that after paying so much and replacing the board I am not getting any solution. Do you think any problem of audio jumper on the board? Or can this be solved through it?

There is usually no audio jumpers on the motherboards. Either it works or it does not. Handling of the boards when they were installed, if not handled properly can cause failures. I use a "grounding wrist strap" when I handle any motherboard or plug in board. The grounding wrist strap helps to eliminate any potential static electricity problems. Other than improper handling, you were unlucky to get two defective boards.
