Hello, having problems with online gaming - games like Counter-Strike, Left 4 Dead 2 and other downloadable (bought from store) games, that include playing online with people from the other side of the world.
Having trouple with ping when online. It is not ISP fault, they have confirmed it and i have, too :
1. SpeedTest.net showed download rate around 11mbit/sec, ISP capable of 12mbit/sec, so that is OK. Upload rate confirms as well.
2. PingTest.net showed - Packet Loss = 0% ; Ping = 10ms ; Jitter = 4
In conclusion, I have an 'Grade A' Internet connetion.
So, I have a perfect Internet, I can download ANYTHING without any problems from the Internet. Statistics (made by me) show that my average download rate is ca. 980kbits/sec.
My ISP tech. support said, that I may have some problems with the parameters set on the network card. Is that possible? If it is, how can I set them correctly?
ISP offered me a specialist, who I can talk via phone and with his/her help, i could set the parameters right. But the call fee is outrageous, and I am not willing to pay that amount of money for a call, that might not even help me out with the problem.
Maybe OS is the problem ???
Hoping we could detect and fix the problem,
DJMango
