Open Several Specific Folders on Startup ?

I would like to have several specific Explorer folders to open automatically on startup.

I found THIS, and it looks like it would do what I am wanting.

I followed the simple instructions to the letter, several times; and, when I try to paste a shortcut in the Startup folder, I get a notice that "Windows cannot create a shortcut here and do I want to paste it to the Desktop instead"

I have read and reread those instructions and it just refuses to allow me to put my shortcuts in the Startup folder.

Why is this not working for me ?

Also, just out of curiosity, I tried a drag/drop of a folder shortcut from the Desktop into the Startup Folder; I got a message that I needed Administrator permission to continue ---; I wasn't sure just what the outcome would be and chickened out of that maneuver.

For whatever it is worth, my Startup folder is completely empty.

Thanks and all help is appreciated.

For a proper way, I would do this way,
1. create a link/shortcut of the Specific Folder
2. put it into folder of Startup

In my example, OIwatch folder will automatically open when PC startup.

Thanks, siliconbeaver.

As for not being able to "paste shortcut"; I tried clicking plain old "Paste", got the Administrator pop-up, clicked "Okay" and my shortcut showed right where I intended.

There are several Text Documents I also like to keep open; so, I created and added shortcuts to them as well; hopefully they will also automatically open.

I haven't yet tested this by restarting, as I all of a sudden got about a dozen things going on; as soon as I get this tested and see the outcome, I will post back with my results.

should be easy.

hit "Start" key, then type "shell:startup" in the box, Enter. the Startup folder will pop-up. now you can add whatever you please.

(FYI
It's absolute path is

C:\Users\Your ID\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup )

Try creating a batch file with links to the specific folders and put it in Startup.
