Opening a password protected .doc file...

So here's the dealeo guys, I need to see what's inside a Word .doc file that my brother protected several months ago, but the thing is, he doesn't remember the password (shocker right?).

Is there a way to find out the password of the .doc file? legally...

(sorry if this violates forum rules).

This may be possible but it is not likely to be easy and therefore there will likely be a, (Not Small), cost involved.

There are specialist data recovery companies that may be able to recover this information for you but they will charge a professional fee.

What you have to decide is - is the data worth the cost?
