Solved OS (C:) space left changing almost every restart.

I think Sir George may have found something.

I'm currently in the 54GB left state and looked into the folders program he suggested :

Can anyone tell me what pagefile.sys is? I'm doing things right now but next time I restart to 256GB free ill do this again and see if it's gone

MalReynolds please understand me. You don't have to remove or add a program if you don't want to. It's your computer. After all you are the one who will live with your decision.
Have a nice day.

@Addram
I tried to but I'm not great with computers and I knew I wouldn't understand any of the things I tried to google (confirmed by the links you posted, I don't understand them at all).

I was hoping somebody would be able to make it simple enough for me to understand I guess. Is there a way you can tell me what it does and if it could be the source of my problem etc?

page file is essentially an area of the HDD used as RAM, it is generally controlled by the OS and increased and decreased in size automatically but it shouldnt ever get to the kind of size that you are losing

If you right click my computer and click properties you can see
Click advanced system settings and then the settings tab under performance section
I believe the default size will be the same as the amount of ram you have installed

There you go, can`t get much simpler then that.

The page file system is not something you have to worry about, just don`t ever mess with it or delete it or anything, don`t touch it.

I looked into what Pauley said and changed my values so that they are what they should be. I have restarted about 8 times in the past 20 minutes and my OS (C:) is now always giving me 273GB free. I am actually in disbelief that my problem appears to be fixed.

I will mark this thread as solved and will click the "reputation" thing on everyone who took the time to offer advice or explain something. Thanks for putting up with me everyone, I really appreciate it.
