Outlook 2003 Export Address Book

The last time I exported my address book the process worked fine. Yesterday I updated my address book and went to export it to a folder on one of my hard drive; I got a notice it had failed. Here is the message I got:



I rebooted and tried again with the same results. The address book (contacts) is there because I use it all the time

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this. I thought about reinstalling Outlook, but first I thought I would ask.

Try a "Repair" on Outlook 2003, rather than a reinstall. In Outlook 2003, click on "Help" and then "Detect and Repair".

I use Outlook 2003 and haven't had any problems exporting. But, with Microsoft dropping Office 2003 support, like they are doing for Windows XP, I have been looking at a replacement (other than upgrading to a new version of Office). I've been trying out Thunderbird and Windows Live Mail. Thunderbird is "winning" so far.

I would look for Office up until they switched doc to the newer format since everything I have has the doc format.

I am not sure what to try next. I did a google search and found a couple suggestions. They seemed destructive to me. I will keep looking and may just live with this until the next time I have to reinstall Windows.

Its looking for something on the Office 2003 installation disc. Load the disc and browse to the "pro11.msi" file on the disc.
