Outlook 2007 not receiving 'spam'

Hi. I use Outlook 2007 with an @btinternet.com (British Telecoms) email address.

Occasionally I will not receive some emails. If I log into web mail (http://bt.yahoo.com) it'll appear in the 'spam'. Problem is, most of the time the emails aren't even spam. Moving these emails to the inbox will then make them come through on Outlook.

Why isn't Outlook putting these emails in its own spam container? Some emails do end up in there anyway, but why not these? I'm worried I've been missing out on emails as I've only just realised this problem.

Thanks.

Try disabling filtering in Outlook 2007 through OPTIONS>JUNK MAIL>NO AUTOMATIC FILTERING.

Also check if you have entries in the "Blocked senders" list.

Hey. Just got an email appearing in spam on BT Yahoo and not through Outlook. Looks like the problem is still here.

Maybe Outlook is set to delete what it thinks is junk mail automatically? You can check the settings under Tools > Options... > Junk E-mail...

Have a look to see what it says there: one of the options is permanent deletion of suspected junk, which means Outlook will never show it to you but Yahoo mail will.

I have attached a screenshot of my own set up :)

Does Outlook get the emails from the bt.yahoo.com account? if so, it's probable that bt is filtering it first so Outlook doesn't get it.
