outlook 2007 slow to recieve mail

Sometimes it take 20 seconds to complete it's job of looking for mail in my 2 accounts. This never happened with any other client. But when i google it, and i have googled it to death, i keep finding the same old answers like disabling or removing addons, closing virus apps, etc. Nothing worked so far. I suppose if i read 100's of articles and posts about it and noe worked it's probably futile to even ask, but i'm out of options so i figured it's worth a shot. I'm on W7 pro 64 bit and have 2 imap accounts, same as i've had with thunderbird and outlook express. (god, i wish i could still use OE !)

To fix this issue, first applied Service Pack 2 and additional updates for Office 2007.
If you have a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook then first Uninstall this integration part of your virus scanner and try again; For more details see; How to troubleshoot performance issues in Outlook 2007

It is updated and i have no virus scanner. I've also seen that page and tried everything i could understand at least.
