Outlook 2010 Corrupt Calendar

I have a strange situation with Outlook 2010 (using Windows 7 HP), whereby dates of birthdays have become corrupt.

I have family birthdays set up as recurring events. I recently noticed that some of them have been corrupted, in that three that occur in December have been changed to different months: one to January and two to April. I became aware of this because the ‘reminder’ for a December birthday appeared yesterday (15th April).

I say I use Outlook 2010, but the situation is a bit more complex: I have two older PCs running Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 respectively and I synchronise these regularly with the Outlook 2010 PC, using Code Two Outlook Sync. I also use Kies 3 to synchronise the Outlook 2010 PC with my Samsung Galaxy S4.

I don’t know exactly when the corruption occurred, but I have been doing the aforementioned synchronisations for several years without problem.

The strange thing is that I have a number of other, annual recurring events and none of them seems to be affected. My concern is that whilst I immediately spot the errors in family birthdays [because I know them], there may be other reminders [e.g. to pay bills] that I’m not so familiar with, and I wouldn’t necessarily spot it if they had become corrupted.

Any suggestions as to the cause would be very welcome!

Moulin mate I tried that Kies stuff once and got rid of it as I found it quite useless. Anyway try running these for starters

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2
and then these if those do not find anything

ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If one is running Kaspersky security it may rant about ADW - just ignore it or disable Kaspersky while the ADW is being used)

Thanks for the suggestions.
Before seeing your post, I manually changed all the entries I knew had been changed, then went through all the various synchronisation processes. They all worked, and the birthdays that had previously been corrupted all stayed intact this time.
I have been using Kies/Kies 3 for a couple of years, and the versions have varied in quality as to whether they worked or not, and how quickly they completed a sync run. The current version has fewer facilities than some previous versions [e.g. can't now make changes to phone contacts, etc.] and isn't the fastest version either, but it is acceptable.

I ran sfc and chkdsk as you suggested and they were both clean. SuperAntiSpyware found quite a lot [224] of tracking cookies ad Malwarebytes [which I already had] found a few more. I installed ADWCleaner but wasn't certain I understood the results well enough to act on them, so didn't.

I'll leave my post open for a few more days to see if anyone else has any ideas, otherwise I'll mark it as closed and put it down to a temporary blip somewhere, but will keep a closer eye on future sync runs!

Hmm ok well if you are happy with Kies then keep it myself I don't have any use for it.

The ADW you just need to follow that through after running it and it usually asks you after cleaning if you want to restart which of course you should. The SAS is worth keeping to run now and then as you see how many tracking sites you picked up and it does occasionally find Trojans etc.

But it is good the machine is back on an even keel:)
