Actually this is not a question for myself but a friend who has finally updated to Windows 7 Home Premium and wants to know how to put Outlook Express as her e-mail programme instead of Windows Live Mail as we have in Windows 7.She never had Vista like me so she is completely in the dark and although l have lent her a few books on Win 7 it will take her awhile to get used to this OS as you can imagine.
If anyone is kind enough to answer please explain fully as l cannot help her as never had that e-mail programme.Personally l think she would be happier with what we have in Win 7 but she is adamant she wants the above so l offered to ask the Site.
Thanks in anticipation and l will download the answer and send it to her so she can work it out.

Outlook express onto Windows 7

She has bought a Laptop that had pre-instaalled Windows 7 Home prem l think and prefers to have Outlook Express-don't ask me why as l loved Windows Mail on Vista but am now used to Windows Live Mail on Win 7 Professional.
Its no use trying to explain to her she seems adamant but personally l think when she sees Live Mail she will find it far superior to Outlook Express.
l will try and explain to her and suggest she registers on this Site and asks her own questions as it is far easier-that is if she ever gets round to working out her Broadband issues which she has never had-l would go nuts having 'Dial Up'
Thanks anyhow.

Sorry I couldn't give you an answer she would have liked. Outlook Express is dead and gone.

But please, if she has Windows 7 questions, send her our way. :D

And how many years ago was that? You can only learn the basics from books as Computers are reallly 'hands on' experience although l do agree if you strike trouble do nto try and fix till you get some advice. Thanks for everything and l have told her to log onto this Site as that is all l can do is suggest. One of her biggest probems is she has many non registered or pirated programs so she will hit trouble some time in the future.l am sure many people do this as well and as for me no l do not as l find that l do not want any more issues with Computers than l already have.
