Im new to overclocking and just finished running some tests Got the 4770k from 3.5 to 4.6. Hopefully someone can chime in and tell me if everthing looks ok. Top ss is after doing OC bottom is after prime 95 for 5 min running small tff for max heat..

I like the looks of that software, but think all OCing should be done from BIOS settings. Just keep watching your temps and keep the v-core volts as low as possible and still stable.

Everything looks good that I see in those screenshots. You have a very good rig!

Yea I've been watching them. Ran prime95 for 20 min and never got above 74c

What is a unsafe temp ?
74c seems pretty high to me considering that 165.2 f :/

That is when under a heavy load from Prime and not bad using an air cooler. I would put a liquid cooler on it

Looking at hit build not many corners were cut except in the cpu cooling department.

The 4770K is not the best for Overclcocking, 4.2 is plenty fast enough for that chip on air.

I personally would select a different cpu cooler if over clocking.

Cooling Coolmaster D92

I haven't read anything very bad about the D92 but then I haven't read anything that would suggest it's a good cooler for a over clock.

From the results on overclocking it doesn't seem to be that bad of a cooler. I'm planning on getting a watercooler eventually does anyone have any suggestions on one I should get with this system?

Well it seem to be a middle of the road cooler at best according to the site you posted.

To me that is not good enough when over clocking to any high degree. Of course that is just my opinion.

Im looking at either Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 280mm - Newegg.com Or NZXT Kraken X61 RL-KRX61-01 280mm All-In-One Water / Liquid CPU Cooling Solution - Newegg.com. Leaning towards the nzxt one after looking at some reviews and tests even though they are very close. Anyone have any opinions on either of these. Also would you suggest with either of these to change the fans and put my cougar ones on the coolers? Well yea a few of us have gone with the H110GT and added 4 sp140 fans on it for a pull and push flow to it
Works good so far Corsair pretty good the corsair link isn't all that hot so you might look into that and or not use the corsair link part and just hook the fans up to the mobo or similar controller
Which I might get a controller for the fans instead of the corsair link crapware.

So 2 fans blowing up through the radiator and 2 fans pulling up through the radiator? How much extra clearance in case would i need for push pull config? I think i'm going to go with the NZXT after looking at some benchmarks it surpasses the corsair h110gt. I have a question on placement i can fit a Front 2 x 140 or 3 x 120mm Top 2 x 140 or 3 x 120mm and supports 240mm, 280mm, 360mm Radiators on top and front. If I place on the top position would I have it blowing up through case and if i put in front position it would be pulling air into case correct? If put in front would it not heat the air being pulled into case? What is the best position to install the radiator?

I would put the radiator in the top position to take advantage of natural temperature convection. However, that may mean not having enough clearance inside the case for a push-pull configuration. What I did with mine was to put the radiator and push fans inside the case, and mount the pull fans on top. I have some with pretty blue leds and it doesn't look that bad. Sort of gives you a pseudo Steampunk look. lol.

You can see the pull fans mounted on on the top of the case at the top of the picture below. This is before I dressed the fan wires.

Looks like i have plenty of room for a push pull config on the top of my case without any clearance issues.

Excellent. If you have the clearance, the top is definitely a good choice to put the rad.

Yep I had to put mine on the front because the top was way too tight (= I should of gotten the 240mm) for wiring to the top of the board and the hoses were to close to the disk burner and my case I only had 2 slots on the top front so I couldn't easily move them down

I believe rads are best as intakes pushing and pulling fresh air from the outside apposed to pulling hot case air through them as a exhaust but plenty of people do use them as exhaust without issue.
