Paint Shop Pro X2 and dlls

New to this...I hope I have posted in the correct place. I have just installed PSPX2 on my new Toshiba laptop 32 bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
I have installed 10 dlls given to me specifically for Windows 7, placed them in C Drive System and System 32, as advised. One of them is "at ASP File". Windows Security pops up and will not allow it....consequently most of my many plugins now do not work. Can anyone please tell me exactly which dlls are needed, where to place them, and how to overcome the Windows Security glitch? I've not previously had issues with PSPX2 in XP and Vista.

I am not sure what you mean? I have PSPx2 installed and plugins work fine, I never had to add any dlls....which ones are you referring to and what do they do?

I am thinking it could be patched dll files to overcome or to activate the program illegally.
If i am indeed correct.

The only thing I have done to my installation was to remove the PSIService.exe by Protexis, which installs a Protexis Licensing service as it constantly runs in the background when you start windows...and I have the boxed retail version; I had it on sale from Amazon for £20

burtie, were you able to remove that PSI service ? as I thought this was Corel's authentication file ?
Also Thomas, the patch of dll files has nothing to do with the program only dll's for the graphic components to be able to run them and the plugins which many were written long time ago and not native to Vista or W7.
Updating the OS to W7 keeps the files, but a fresh install seems to not have them, therefore, a need to add them.

Yeah I was able to disable the service. I used to do this because I didn't want extra stuff running in the background all the time, and the program still worked without it. To be honest though I haven't bothered to disable it since I had my new machine and just left the service running. It doesn't take up a lot of resource's and it doesn't seem to do any harm

thanks burtie, mine would crash if I disabled it.. funny that... I left it alone as well.
but that was a long time ago as well.
