Very strange the "preparing for first time use" message comes back every time ....never seen that.
RAID or AHCI ... who cares ... never seen any performance gain.... and raid has more options.
So leave it the way it is.
One last question: Why did you buy paragon??
A disk can be cloned by many free sotdware (I told you before).
Only important thing was the aligned... also possible with a lot... maybe all free clone/backup software.
Can also be done with Partitiot Wizard after cloning
I bought the Paragon because it was direct in doing what I wanted. The title alone "os to ssd" says it.
Other programs and methods seemed too complicated to me. $20 isn't much.. I spend that for lunch alot. I wanted to get this right. I don't know anything about alignment etc.
It this day and age of plug and play it's still not plug and play.
I can always change back to achi because you taught me if needed. I have all the info bookmarked and stored.
Thanks
