Password Scrambling (Unwanted!)

Can't enter Password After Sleep - Youtube Vid Link

Hi all -
Video link! 1st post. When I come out of hibernation in windows 7 pro 64 bit on my brand new hp dv4, I'm asked to enter my pw, which I actually want to be. Problem is, I can't type it fast enough for the characters to be in sequence, because the window blinks (not the whole screen) and messes up the sequence of my password characters. Help!

hp customer support (ha) told me to disable sleep mode. i would like my computer to work, not disable what doesn't!

Try plugging the keyboard in somewhere else (if it is USB). Also, updating motherboard drivers (keyboard drivers too) might help.

it's a laptop, so just the motherboard drivers then?

well, i did update the chipset drivers... that's the motherboard, right? same problem. has anyone ever heard of this? maybe it's just my pc, but i've returned it for this new one that's doing the same thing... i'm at a total loss.

The chipset is part of the motherboard, but not the part I was thinking of.
