So this is a wired one, this is not my PC but a rig I have built from a mix of my old components and new parts. the CPU,motherboard,GPU where old parts and the rest where new.
When the build was put together, it worked first time installed windows/drivers, then I powered it off at the wall and left it, it stopped working like described after a few days when i went to switch it on again. Eliminated some factors by swapping PSU, swapping RAM, taking GPU out and still a red light. So I gave up and left it. Randomly switched it on again another day and magically started working again  So switched it of at the wall again, go to turn it on today, ready to sell it, and it just wont turn on again !
It must be the motherboard as I have tried different RAM, PSU and the on board GPU.
Also the blue LED's at the front of the case don't come on, the power LED and the HDD LED even though they have been working before and come on normally when the PC booted up fine.
Only thing I haven't touched, and has been in the motherboard for over a year is the CPU.
Specs:
AMD Phenom 1090T
Nvidia GTX 560ti
8GB Corsair DDR3 1333mhz
Corsair builder series 600w PSU
Asus m4a88t-m motherboard
Thanks for any help guys because I can't understand what is causing this and why it breaks, fixes itself and stops working again
