Hi,ghanghed my pc clock battry as it ws loosing time,but still loosing time to 2005,stooped auto syncronization,in bios is correct but when i switch on in the morning,it will show a date in 2005,

what should i do now?

Does the time also reset? At every reboot?.

Did you put the battery in the correct way? Did you set the time and date in the bios?

What version of windows are you using?.

all i did is that i ghanghed the batterry well,in its location,then i switched it on and clock was set in correct time,but after 2 days,it ghanghes in the morning as i switch on,on reboot no it keeps time.as in bios is ok,as i move on time,date etc to try ghanghing it wont ghanghe,looks like key dont work,but move with arrows ok

Replace the battery with a new one. Set the time in bios and in Windows.

"New" batteries can be bad. You can either measure the battery or buy another one from a place that sells lots of batteries (their batteries might be fresh).

If your motherboard fails in certain ways - then changing the battery is not going to help.

Instead of stating that the "clock [is] still changing time", please indicate what the date and time is and what the date and time should be when you see an error. It matters to the diagnosis.

Infections/malware can also change the date and time.

How very true UsernameIssues. Some infection do this to stop you from getting updates in order to remove the infection.

Make sure your system is still activated properly. If you don't have this you could have problems like you are having

yes i do have that m8,the battery was sealed,you think the battery is faulty?

I have been reading this thread for a few days. Is this a desktop computer or a laptop computer. Ususally on a desktop it is the CMOS battery that is about the size of a quarter. Battery # CR-2032 .

its a desktop.but once i tried to ghanghe time from bios ,but i cant ghanghe it,arrow keys worked to move left,right up and down but didnt managhed to ghanghe from there.then i restarted normaly and ghanghed time ,

So is the battery I showed in the pic the one you replaced with a new one ? In the Bios, the arrow keys move you between the different fields. The + & - keys will chane the date & time either forward or backward.

yes that's right that's the battery,ok when i switch on the PC il try to fix from bios,then well see.

why should i post a picture?as i said i have the genuine mark,in yes i do have that m8.you don't believe me?

@DocBrown i did manage to ghanghe properly with - and +,ill see tomorrow morning how it will be,as usually it ghanghes as i switch on pc after the night.
