I recently installed new AMD Catalyst 14.4 Drivers for my Radeon HD 7950. I'm not sure if that would contribute to my PC locking up while playing Battlefield 4.
I'm not too sure where to start troubleshooting. It's becoming very annoying having to power restart my PC. When the PC locks up the audio plays a weird sound; it's distinctive and recognizable.
