I think I really screwdriver up my Pc somehow...
My original problem was my Pc would get BSOD seemingly randomly while running after effects. You can see the original thread here: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-...s-give-me-bsod-while-using-after-effects.html
I updated the drivers and removed the diskcryptor one. My Pc stopped booting a few days ago. It would show the windows loading logo and then BSOD in the middle of it. Windows repair was unable to repair it, no matter how many times I tried running it. I ran chkdsk from the command prompt, it checked all of my disks, only repaired my c drive once, but did nothing to fix the problem except maybe now the loading screen got a little farther this time.
I tried repairing my os with the windows 7 Cd. It ran once, but didn't have any effect. Then it just kept giving the same message as the other windows repair did. "Windows is unable to fix the problem" or something like that. So I tried doing an "upgrade" to find that I had to be at desktop to perform this...
So I found a spare hdd, plugged it in to my Pc and installed windows 7 to it, so id at least be able to move some files around in the event that I need to format my original os and start over.
I found another forum on the Microsoft website from a guy that seemed to be having the same problem as me. You can read it here: Automated Startup Repair fails. Cannot find OS Loader. - Microsoft Answers
So I followed the instructions to try to fix the boot section on your os. When that didn't work, I tried the export the bcd and rebuild it. It exported my bcd, hut then had trouble rebuilding it.... frustrated, I restarted my pc
Now my Pc doesn't recognize that my original os is on my original hdd, wont try to repair it, and wont boot except to my temporary secondary os that I made on another hard drive.
I'm getting frustrated, depressed, and desparate to get my computer working again. I have no idea what to do or where to start. Any help would be very much appreciated. I really hope I haven't torched my machine
