HELP! I've had this problem ever since I built my pc (almost a month). I'm running out of ideas. My pc would hang randomly even on a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Everything works fine in safe mode. If this helps at all, I've enabled boot logging and there is an attached file to look at the drivers that loaded and failed. I replaced my motherboard, but the problem still persists. In safe mode, everything is perfectly fine. It doesnt freeze or anything. Below, I have my Pc specs listed. And thank you in advance to those who help me out! :D

Hard Drive- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Just checked through the log, but failed to spot anything off. PC looks pretty clean too. The hotfix file was empty, but I guess your Windows is up-to-date?

When you say Safe Mode is good, did you check in Safe Mode with Networking or plain Safe Mode? Please check with "Safe Mode with Networking" too, if you haven't before.

Edit: There are some errors in msinfo file, asked friends about their relevance, hopefully someone will guide.

You can work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 starting with check for infection and then testing System files.

Make sure your system is fully patched with all Important and Optional Updates.

Did you force drivers that were not provided by Windows 7?

If those fail you can try to find faulting driver using Driver Verifier: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244617

But I'd invest any further time spent in doing a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7
so you can start fresh with the best install of Win7 one can possibly have.

I agree with Layback on this one - see pic and I would be running these for starters

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

ADW download frombleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans

(NB If one is runningKaspersky security it may rant about ADW - just ignore it or disable Kasperskywhile the ADW is being used)
I would go as far as to suggest the OP install Microsoft Security Essentials or whatever it is being called now (am bit confused with the advent of 10) https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=5201

Ok mate have you tried any of Gregs links suggestions in post #9? if you haven't I suggest at least that driver verifier one .

Now the other thing you can do is to follow my ditty and post back the results because I ma always suspicious of PSU's

Using HW Info

You can test the volts onthe PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the rightbit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down tothe power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic.

For laptops use theSensor button and then scroll down to the battery section (usually at thebottom)

Voltages should always bewithin 5% of the required voltage otherwise the machine will not functionproperly or at all see this http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-specifications-atx-reference,3061.html (section2 is the part to read)

The original right handwindow shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in somedetail close it and use the main left hand side panel
The Gigabyte boards form memory have the power section listed as ITE see pic anyway

The other thing you may have to do is a memtest

MEMTEST

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.htmlthis one you will need to make a bootable disk set the BIOSto optical (or USB if preferred) boot the machine and let it run for at LEAST 8 passes unless the errors come up straight away. Takes a fair time to completeand some leave it running overnight.

If you do get errors and have morethan one stick then you will need to test each one separately and maybe even inthe separate slots.

Hmm cannot argue with that as I don't have the equipments or access to the machine to see. Personally I would have expected in that scenario there would have been a blue screen or at least a very slow running machine.

I don't know what the other s think but you could try a processor testing software maybe that would show something up. You have nothing to lose except considerable expense at a techie's workshop.
There are few here though I ma not sure because I have never had to use them the third one down is probably what I would use and with this site beware of nagging add ons

If your BIOS allow disabling cores perhaps you can get away with it by disabling the faulty ones. Maybe Prime95 will help with determining faulty cores.
