This may be a little OT, but I don't know where else to turn. I've tried several of the sound system forums but haven't gotten any help.
I'm having trouble with the audio system on my computer. When I play a YouTube video or even just an audio CD, it will play fine for a while and then stutter and buzz for a second and then resume playing. It happened on my old computer and I tried everything I could think of to make it work. I put in more memory (upped to 8gbytes), a new graphics card (a GeForce GTS450), a new sound card to replace the on-board sound card on the MSI motherboard, all to no avail. Finally, I just replaced the computer. I got an Intel I5 system (a 4 core 2.8Ghz processor) with 8gbytes of main memory using an MSI P67A-G45 motherboard. I'm using the same graphics card (the GTS450), and I'm currently using the on-board sound card and LAN interface (which is rated at up to 1000 Mbps). I am running Windows 7 64-bit home premium. I even replaced the speakers. At first, I thought that this had solved the problem, but I was wrong. It is still happening. I don't understand. This new system should be able to handle anything audio or video related that I want to do (I'm not a gamer so I'm not worried about that).
Would anyone have an idea what is wrong? It's driving me crazy. I just want to be able to listen to my music and YouTube videos without them stopping and stuttering in the middle.
Please help.
Thanks,
Mark
