PC Will Not Boot Into OS

Good day,

My PC was a successful Clean Install on a new HDD. I then ran all of the Microsoft and Windows updates and installed Microsoft Security Essentials, Updated and ran clean, Google Chrome with AdBlock Plus, Steam and Foxit PDF. I restarted and everything ran well.

I disconnected all peripherals and let sit for a day. I reconnected the peripherals and started the system; to my dismay Windows 7 will only make it to the "Starting Windows" screen but won't show any of the windows logo movement that it should. I have tried booting into safemode and it hangs at classpnp.sys. I have tried removing the graphics card multiple times and running in different methods. I have removed and cleaned the RAM to be safe and the motherboard hasn't given me any bad memory lights. Whenever I try to boot from any media source into anything more than the YUMI Boot OS selection screen, it hangs. I cannpt access recovery options or Startup Repair as it hangs.

Any help is much appreciated. I recently replaced the PSU to the current unit and the HDD to the current unit.

Seems there's information not given here, probably something about dual-booting with other Operating Systems or once having dual-booting. If it is the latter could be the boot record on the HDD is faulty.

The issue is with my Windows 7 Home Premium X64 installation. This is a new HDD, never had dual booting done on it. I used the YUMI Boot as an example of my utility drive which also won't boot on this system. This proves that it is likely a hardware issue and not a software issue because it spans across multiple softwares and sources.

Were all peripherals and other drives unplugged during the install as they should be? Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 has everything that works best including for retail.

Something you're plugging in is blocking boot. Unplug everything one at a time until you find out which. Then post back a screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image - Windows 7 Help Forums .

We might be able to spot it for you by posting back a camera snap of Partition Wizard boot CD's full drive map and listings with everything plugged in.

Try fixing the MBR. It happened to me not that long ago where it would hang in the exact same place!

Nothing extra is plugged in, I have tried disconnecting the HDD as well and just booting from USB. Nothing will boot past the basic screen start screen.

my apologies... I forgot that I could dock the HDD in my shop dump PC and try repairing the MBR from there. I can also get a full Disk Management screenshot for gregrocker!

Can you boot a CD? It would be best to see the Partition Wizard CD drive map and listings picture with all drives attached to see what looks awry.

If nothing can boot due to a hard drive being plugged in it could be evident by the configuration we see, or it might be corrupt code on the HD requiring wiping it to stop the interference.

It might even be hardware so I'd try different SATA port configuration. Try also plugging in all drives to your other rig to see if they act similarly, and you can isolate the problem.
