PCI Analog AverTV Super 007 (M135A)

Hey Locotus,
I'm sorry that I didn't answer any more, but I actually got into some trouble with win 7 (startup problem), so I forgot my AverTV Prob (while using XP).
I'll retry to solve the TV prob tomorrow at the earliest.

Hi All,

I have the AverTV Hybrid Super 007 as well and identical problem to the first poster. OS is Win 7 Professional x64, and the latest drivers installed. Just over a year from the first poster and Avermedia haven't fixed the problem yet. Filed a report with their Help Desk and got the reply 'try the latest drivers' despite telling them I already *have*

I've tried editing the ini file with no joy. The thing is I don't get any channels when scanning because it's plugged into my cable TV STB and doesn't need to.

Any other ideas gratefully received.

Kind regards,

Julian

so, in other words, you feed the video-out from the set-top-box to your s-video-in from the avermedia?

did you select the right input-method? (you should choose s-video or composite, depending on what kind of transmission you use)

also, after editing the ini-list, try changing the video-renderer in the settings-dialog. it should help a lot.

anyway, what driver-version do you have? i have the 3.6.64.6 version and its working perfectly on my win 7 Pro x64. (even without editing anything, installed OS, drivers, worked!) ;)
do you have any special video renderers or codecs installed that might interfer?

Hi Locutus,

BIG Apologies for omitting that the PC dual-boots with Windows XP and the XP installation works perfectly. - I thought I had mentioned it - looks like I stupidly forgot.

The driver version I *had* was 3.5.64.83. On the Avermedia drivers page (which they helpfully sent me a link to although I said I'd already been there) I didn't get the driver you mentioned as it said it was for the MCE - I misunderstood and thought it was *only* for the MCE. Following your advice I downloaded and installed it, and it WORKS.

Many thanks for you input :)

Kind regards,

Julian

AverMedia A16AR DVB-T

Hello,

I have an AverMedia A16AR DVB-T and the tuner workd fine, but when I switch to my composite input (foxtel/paytv box output). I get a grey screen with shadows of the image. I have tried older drivers and modifying the .ini file with no luck. It works fine on the 32 bit version of Windows 7. Not on my 64-bit version.

Can anyone offer suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Carlo.

I just got a reply from the AVerMedia-Support:

For your information, none of our devices are currently supported under Windows 7. As you know Windows 7 is still under testing state and it is not very stable. We advise you to kindly use the device under those system that have been tested and meant to work under. As for Windows 7 driver, we will let our engineers know and hope the driver will be available by the time Windows 7 has been officially released.

to me, it sounds like they were not even really working on a driver yet. kind of weird that there is no working driver yet eventhough there is some update under windows update that includes something from avermedia. (but that actually makes the device not work at all) so i guess we have to wait a little bit more unless somebody who knows how that stuff works programs some special driver to use the card properly.
This is just not true I'm using an Avermedia PCI-e TV Bravo and though it is installed in the x86 folder I have full use of the card.
Or am I missing something?. I can record TV, watch tv, stero ect in analoge but not quam or digital.. Fabe But then again I'm just hooked up to basic cable no box.
