Hi there .. If you unplug the Printer are there any errors in the Device Manager .. Do all your USB Ports work ? .. You could need a Chipset Driver which you would get from your Motherboards Website ...

The only error is that the pci simple communication controller is not installed. When I plug the USB of that printer it wants to install the pci simple communication controller but it can't!
From "dxdiag" I found that my system manufacturer is "ECS" and the system model is "945p /pl-A".

For the printer, I have its companion CD and also I downloaded the driver for that printer from HP but it's the same as my CD.
For installing the pci simple communication controller I tried to use of Windows updates but it couldn't to find.
There should certainly be some way to install that printer. Because none of the PC and the printer are old.

I went to that website and downloaded the IDE(1) (vista 32-bit) and installed it. But that yellow sign of PCI Simple Communication still exists. I have never ever seen some motherboard as much ugly as this one is.
When install window arises there are two option for proceeding, P100w Series and P1100 Series. I think the second one is correct.
And about that ID, there isn't any Hardware ID in that path!

I tested both options but the results are same.
After attaching the USB cable to the computer, the installer wants to install the pci communication controller and continue to installing but below image doesn't change. Whatever I wait o change will be occurred.
Don't you think the printer has some physical damages!?

The problem had to do with the OS. I installed the printer on XP and without any problem it became installed. But how it can be this way that this printer can't be installed on 7!!? It's not an old printer and in it's manual Windows 7 is supported (it has been written)!

Indeed, I was installing that printer on a PC running win 7 and I didn't succeed to install. So after that I tried that printer on my own PC which is running win 7 and also I've installed VMware on it and XP on that VMware. I first tried to install that printer on my win 7 host (I have not any dial-up modem on my motherboard and therefore don't need to install that pci driver and also my device manager in fine without any yellow mark). But again I couldn't to success to install that printer on my win 7 so I tried to try the XP (which was on VMware) and after turning that XP on I could install and also use of that printer!:) Now, what do you guys think of this issue please? You think the problem is to do with the 7 OS, that pci driver which was not installed or something else. Thank you all.
And a special thanks to Maxie.

Most welcome glad you got the Issue sorted in some respect .. Cannot say what the exact problem was lots of people had the same issue with Windows 7 and your Printer ... Could be a combination of things i am pretty sure Windows did Install the best Driver for your Motherboard .. The Chipset was pretty old which did not help .. I am sure there will be other Posts from other Members in the future with this issue .. Will keep my eyes peeled for them ..
