Hello,

I have a question. I am running a Quad Screen set-up. I have been running Windows 7 32-bit. With 2 video cards

1 PCI-E ATI Radeon HD 4350

and

1 PCI Geforce FX 5200

for a total of 4 screens.

Now it was working great in Windows 7 32-bit, but ever since i upgraded to Windows 7-64 bit. Its not working at 100%

Now i have been reading alot on this forum that alot of people have trouble getting the FX 5200 working. After trying many different drivers i finally was able to get it working. The only catch is that. I had to turn off aero and disable other aero features so it can run with better performance.

But even after doing that. The ony problem i have is that videos such as in youtube. Run slow seem to lag a little and worse when i put it on full screen.

I figure its the card because its so old and its a pci card.

So my question is. Is there another pci video card that will work on 64-bit?

On an Acer Aspire M5800

had a look about and you seem to have the best available pci card, i'll be honest i thought they were out of production for nearly 10 years now.

the issue will no doubt be the 64 bit os, i doubt drivers were ever done for that gpu to support 64 bit os.

Some PCI graphics cards, DX10 and higher:

Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Video Cards & Video Devices, Desktop Graphics Cards, PCI, DirectX 10, DirectX 10.1, DirectX 11

Have you considered one of the PCI-E cards from AMD that supports Eyefinity? That gives as many as 6 video outputs on a single graphics card. It's not necessarily simple, though: if you have multiple outputs, all but 2 of them must be DisplayPort. You'd probably need (active) adapters, which could raise the cost significantly.

I've seen some (dual GPU) nVidia Quadro cards with 4 outputs, but I'm not sure that they are still for sale.

Someone has also mentioned that. They helped me design a set-up. I made a ticket to see if it would work. Waiting for an email.

I was hoping i could find a pci card that would work because the card and connectors are going to be expensive, If i cant find a pci card. Then i will have no choice but to buy one.

You wouldn't need to drop that sort of money for a mere 4 monitors. This may serve:

Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100358VXL Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

You'd be out another $20-25 for a Displayport to VGA adapter. An HDMI to DVI adapter would be less.
