Hello,
I work at a company with 5 pcs with window 7 on them connected to a workgroup. all of their advanced sharing settings including network discovery are properly set, yet many of these pcs sometimes become invisible from my network. Sometimes they are all visible, somtimes only few, and sometimes all of them are gone. however all of the shared folders of these pcs that i have linked to my computer as a network drive are accessible at all times, regardless of the visibility of the pcs they belong to. is there a solution to this erratic behavior regarding the visibility of networked computers?

thanks

Could it be the Power Options settings are not the same for all the computers? If the HDDs are set for sleep, turn off, hibernate, etc., it's possible the other computers could lose track of them as they would then not be visible.
