People on Skype hear when I play music etc

However, they can only hear loud sounds.
So for example, if I'm listening to 50% volume on the VLC player, they can hear anything.
If I get it to 100%, they can hear it, but not as clearly as I.
Is this the microphones fault? Because this randomly started happening.

This will be skype's audio cancelation failing here... its not a problem... I am actually talking on skype now, and I'm getting the same thing, my friend just recieved a text message (I heard the phone vibrate on his desk)... its not a major problem...its just where Skype is not as ... "Inteligent" as we would hope.
