performance worse than Vista

ive uninstalled AVG and installed what he suggested and im now down to 795mb idle, any other suggestions,

acer don't have drivers for my machine on win7 yet, Ive emailed them about it but nothing back from them yet.

No further suggestions as your system is now well. Do not look at used RAM as any indicator of performance. It's an incorrect way to do things.

Win 7 makes use of your RAM. You didn't buy it and have it in your machine to sit there and do nothing.

Yea that's extremely true, but it still seems high on idle my vista running all apps on idle held at 850mb :sarc:

The mistake is in comparing Vista to 7.

7 manages memory far better and you are seeing the result. Enjoy.
