Permantly Lock Default Playback Device

Good day all,

i would like to be able to lock in my default playback device as well as my default communication device.

when ever i plug in my headset it not only takes its role as default communication device, but it also has just began claiming the default playback as well, of course this makes taking skype calls privately on the fly while at the same time playing a movie through hdmi cumbersome to say the least

this error has never occurred before for me in the, 4+ years i have been using this type of set up, and it is extra puzzling for me because everytime i set the default playback and default communication devices manually, they work great, but the moment i plug the head set back in again it reverts to headset as default for both, any suggestions welcome

i am using:
windows 7 pro 64 bit
Asus g75vw
xbox 360 headset & xbox 360 wired controller
Skype

this problem also extends to my turtle beach headset, as well as any random pair of headphones, when any audio device is plugged in it becomes default, is there any way to fix this?

Windows 10 upgrade should fix your issues.
