Phillips Monitor Faded then Went Black

Hi,

I need some assistance with a Phillips 40" Monitor Model BDM4065UC connected to my
Dell Inspiron Desktop running Windows 7.

Since first hooking it up (roughly 2 years ago) the screen would flicker
on and off several times (every time) before finally stabilizing, then would
work fine.

The last time I used it the screen faded over a few seconds, went black and never
came back on. The power light goes on so the unit can be turned on and off. All
I can see on the screen is black with a very faint dark picture which can only be
seen very close up.

It seems like a bulb went out but it could be anything??

When I do a search on ebay for BDM4065UC all kinds of parts come up including
several boards. If I knew which one I needed I could order and replace it.

Anyway... this is not my area of expertise, never took a monitor apart but am
up for the challenge if needed??

Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like your screen took a dump. I'll look up your model.

Philips BDM4065UC 40" Class 4K Monitor UHD 3840 x2160 Resolution
I'd contact Philips, those are real, real hard to open and service, like a 4k TV. Easy to break the screen.
