Physical memory usage jumping to the skies when installing games

My memory usage jumps to almost full when I run a game installation. It wont go back to normal when the installation is finished. I don't find any processes that could use all this memory. Its like coming out of nowhere.
This doesn't happen when I install programs. And its only fixed when I restart the laptop.
I update my OS regularly.

This problem happens with any kind of games. From old quest/adventure games to new. I use uTorrent and I download them from a local peer-to-peer website.

That could be your problem.
Sorry I never use a torrent so I'm done.
The only thing I know about a torrent is it's one of the best ways of getting infected.

We can't help with pirated software so Torrents make some of us queasy, but I realize there is freeware available via Torrents.


It's also real easy to get infected so your AV may be kicking into high gear, which can be observed by ordering Processes from highest to lowest in Task Manager after including all Users. Try MSE to see if this eases.


Start with the malware scans, SFC, establish a Clean boot, troubleshoot with Process Explorer, then work through all of the other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
