I have also posted on their forums, but this group tends to be quite savvy as well.

I am looking to purge my system almost completely of WMP, and VLC is quite well suited for the task. I have completed most of the process, exempting one thing: The toolbar item that appears when in the Library "music"

Currently, this item is "clickable" but otherwise does nothing when being clicked. From testing, it seems hardwired to WMP, but I was hoping perhaps somebody knew of a way of getting around this.

If they don't, could someone oblige me with the default path for WMP and the exe name? Thanks.

I'm on an unaltered version of W7 64x.

I've tried all kinds of things by setting the default program for the file types (for MPC on my system), but the play all still opens WMP.

The path to WMP on an x64 system is

C:\program files (x86)\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe

with wmplayer.exe being the executable
