Play button now only opens media player

Hi All

Just got a brand new laptop on windows 7.

It seems after each new update something is changed to make things more inconvenient!

The latest one now is where my "FN-Play" button (dual function with the arrow keys) now opens media player. I used to be able to control any media program with these keys (ie: spotify and itunes) but it now only seems to work on WMP.

Any ideas how to fix?

in iTunes, there is an option in preferences on the first page that says: Enable full keyboard navigation. You could try that. I don't remember the media keys working on iTunes ever anyway, at least in XP.

Thanks ill check that out.

But cant see it stopping WMP opening in the first place.
